Angel at Aquaduct - Tarzana, California

The installation of this work took careful planning. We knew we had to find studs to anchor the main background and we changed our minds a few times about whether or not to hang the arch as a separate unit. Doug decided it was best to use a keyhole bracket in the center of the piece and mount the entire frame as one unit. Of course that left a lot of tile to set on site. (Usually its convenient to set as much tile as possilbe in the studio on a horizontal surface but once a piece becomes too heavy that option isn't so advantageous.)
